Colton D. Harper Memorial Scholarship Applications for the 2024-25 school year are available and must be submitted by July 1, 2024. Scholarships have been made available for the 2024-25 school year in the memory of former ECA Managing Director, Colton D. Harper. Children of ALL management employees working for ECA member firms andmanagement employees themselves are eligible.
Management employees include non-field/craft workers, such as administrative staff, interns, estimators, project managers, senior staff, etc.
Child applicants must be entering or enrolled in a construction-related curriculum as full-time students at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Management employees seeking the scholarship do not need to be enrolled as a full-time student, but must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum. Fields of study include, but are not limited to: construction technology, project management, architecture, engineering, and project/construction management.
Selection will be done by the ECA Executive Committee and will be based on academic qualifications, the student's need, and the family's expenses of other children/household members who are also in college. Judging will be based on the application, which will include an essay (no more than 600 words) on why the individual is interested in the construction industry as a career.

ALSO, any member who would like to make a donation to the scholarship program may do so. This would allow more scholarships to be awarded or their amounts to be greater.
Teamsters Scholarship The Joint Education and Training Fund of Teamsters Local Union No. 294 and Eastern Contractors Association, Inc. has made scholarships available since 1972 to sons and daughters of members of Local No. 294, who are employed under the collective bargaining agreement between the Teamsters Local No. 294 and Employers which are related to the construction industry, including employers who are members of Eastern Contractors Association, Inc., provided those employers contribute to the Fund pursuant to those collective bargaining agreements.
The exact dollar amount of each scholarship and the total number of scholarships to be awarded in any given year is determined after all applications are received. Applications for the 2024-25 school year are available and must be submitted by July 31, 2024. Selection will be done by the Teamsters Local Union No. 294 and will be based on academic qualifications, the student's needs, and the family's expenses of other children who are also in college.
