Construction EXEMPT from Gov Exec. Order on Workforce Reduction
March 19, 2020
Late last night, Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 202.6 which mandates businesses reduce their in-person workforce by 50% no later than Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m.
Construction is exempt from this Order and work can continue with your full crews.
The Order also exempts vendors that provide essential services or products, so your materials and supplies should not be impacted either.

With that being said, if you have in-house staff that can work remotely, we encourage you to have them do so. Any staff in your office that remain should be seated at least 6 feet from each other and should be reminded of best practices such as disinfecting their work surfaces, covering their mouths and noses when they cough or sneeze, not touching their faces and washing their hands frequently throughout the day. Also encourage your trades people, foremen, superintendents, project managers, etc. to also follow best practices. If anyone shows signs of illness, send them home.
